I am reading this incredible book my mother shared with me and this clip came to mind as I read and pondered over the words. I have used it multiple times in speaking/training but it really hit home as I read the passage below and thought of another manager at work and the opportunities she is facing with her team.
"There are two kinds of head fakes. The first is literal. On a football field, a player will move his head one way so you'll think he's going in that direction. Then he goes the opposite way. it's like a magician using misdirection...the second kind of head fake is the REALLY important one-the one that teaches people things they don't realize they're learning until well into the process."
