After lunch we cruised down to The Alamo. I had forgotten that it is nestled downtown in the middle of everything. The history lesson inside was very interesting. It was neat to see clothing worn and guns used by David Crockett, as well as the architecture in general. Fascinating Facts: The roof of the church (what most people identify as the Alamo building itself) was never actually finished, the battle at the Alamo went on for nearly 2 weeks, and Texas was its own nation for 10 years. Very interesting. Now we need to go to the San Jacinto monument to see where Santa Anna was defeated after taking over the Alamo.
The ride home was the time of our life. Addy fussed a good portion of the ride to San Antonio while Tyler (the Beezer baby) was asleep. Then on the way home she went quiet and played with her toys, so Tyler took on the role of the frustrated baby. Come to find out he just wanted his diaper changed. All in all we had a blast...good times, good times.
