Turkey Day

We spent Turkey Day taking family pictures for our 2007 holiday cards. They were taken at this beautiful park secretly placed in between the Library and the YMCA right by our house. All I have to say is...Wow it was cold outside!!!!!! It felt like forever when taking your own family pictures. Juggling the parenting and setting up the pictures was fun. Aaliyah wanted to play on the bridge and look at the birds while Addy rested all snug in her carseat. Derek and I have been playing around with photography as one of our new common intrests...We really enjoy taking pictures of the girls and what ever may strike our eye.

After we took our family pictures we went over to Derek's Aunt and Uncle Mossy's house for Thanksgiving brunch. There we enjoyed eating many fattening and delicious holiday dishes. We ate with Cousins, Grandparents, and other Aunts and Uncles and watched a little bit of football. It was nice to catch up with everyone and what is going on in their lives.

It was a great day but also a weird one to be away from our parents and brothers during this time. As a family we took turns telling each other what we grateful for when we got home from our Turkey Day brunch. Aaliyah said that she was grateful for Hearts!!! I was grateful for our family and that we had each other. Derek was grateful for his girls. Adyson was grateful for all the attention she got that day.
